1  Use the Wezor Free Advertising Forum to Post Ads Online / Advertising Forum / What is a Surety Bond - And Why Does it Matter? on: April 28, 2010, 07:57:25 AM
A surety bond is a three party contract, one that provides assurance that a construction project will be completed consistent with the provisions of the construction contract. And what are the three parties involved, you may ask? Here they are: 1) the contractor, 2) the project owner, and 3) the surety company. The surety company, by way of the bond, is providing a guarantee to the project owner that if the contractor defaults on the project, they (the surety) will step in to make sure that the project is completed, up to the "face amount" of the bond. (face amount usually equals the dollar amount of the contract.) The surety has several "remedies" available to it for project completion, and they include hiring another contractor to finish the project, financially supporting (or "propping up") the defaulting contractor through project completion, and reimbursing the project owner an agreed amount, up to the face amount of the bond.

How do you get a bond?

Surety companies use licensed brokers (much like with insurance) to funnel contractors to them. Your first stop if you're interested in getting bonded is to find a broker that has lots of experience with surety bonds, and this is important. An experienced surety bond broker will not only be able to help you get the bonds you need, but also help you get qualified if you're not quite there yet.

Built to allow you to see out of the car but keep things from flying in with you is the windshield. It might not sound that fascinating, but it is a piece of art that you simply ignore until it cracks. When that happens many of us continue to ignore it until the crack has grown so large it's an embarrassment. At this point you have two schools of thought repair or replace. While repairing it is good for small cracks any car that has a crack over three inches really needs to be have auto glass replacement.

It sounds like a hassle, like something that will keep you from your baby for weeks on end, but actually it's fairly simple. Remove the old windshield, install a new one, and seal it up. Walla, auto glass replacement is done. That might be over simplifying the procedure but that really is all there is to it. What most people are afraid of isn't having a new windshield it's the looming question of will the new windshield leak in the rain, car wash, or snow.

To ensure that you get the best auto glass replacement you simply need to let your fingers do the walking. Okay, so you aren't going to use the phone book but you can hop on the internet. You need to find a reputable company that comes with good customer reviews, a quality guarantee and, of course, someone that will help you deal with your insurance company, and having one that can give you a free estimate over the phone or online is an added bonus.

If you are interested in front or rear auto glass replacement then you might be able to find a company that will come to you to repair the car versus heading to them. If you need it on any of the doors replaced you will most likely have to take it in but rest assured that most places will have even this type of job completed in less than a day. santa ana auto glass

Driving isn’t just about getting from A to B, it’s about enjoying the views en route. So next time you get on the road, steer clear of the motorways and enjoy the vast range of ‘A’ and ‘B’ roads this country has to offer. And with Direct Line breakdown insurance, you can enjoy your motoring, knowing that help is just a phone call away if you need it. And don’t forget to follow our tips on keeping your windscreen tip-top.

Screensavers

If you’re looking for some of Britain’s best scenery, you will need a clean, safe windscreen to see it all.

Chips are down

Any chips measuring wider than 10mm will constitute an MOT failure if they are directly in the driver’s line of vision.

Frosty reception

In winter, make sure you have an ice scraper and de-icer in the car. Do not try to clear a frosted screen with boiling water, as it may crack and never drive off with only a ‘peephole’ to see through. Thoroughly de-ice the front and back screens, all side windows and both wing mirrors – all-round vision is essential to safe, legal driving.

Unhinged!

In snowy conditions, remember to pull wiper blades off the windscreen when you park up – frozen snow can make them stick.

Steamed up

If you have an older car without an effective demisting system, invest in a can of anti-mist spray treatment and some anti-mist screen cloths – but never attempt to wipe away condensation while driving. Pull over, dry the screen thoroughly and wait until the car interior becomes warm enough to prevent mist re-forming.

A person's blood alcohol content is not the only thing that can determine a persons sobriety. A driver having a blood alcohol content (BAC) reading somewhat lower than 0.08 %, but also showed signs of impairment can be charged with a DUI. The “legal limit” is simply the number above which a driver is automatically guilty of driving under the influence (or some related statute) without any other evidence. However, many states also allow for DUI charges and conviction when a driver has a slightly lower BAC reading but also fails field sobriety tests, drives erratically, or otherwise shows signs of being impaired.

There are many ways that a person could give themselves the illusion that they are more sober. Drinking coffee increases awareness; therefore, the drinker believes that they are more sober. In reality, the person is still impaired for the purposes of driving, as their coordination, reaction time, etc. are still affected by the alcohol. Eating various dehydrated and salty products such as crackers, chips and pretzels may settle the stomach allowing the consumer to feel more sober when, in reality, they are simply keeping their blood sugars from crashing, as drinking without the consumption of food would. There is no sentence for drink driving. The laws relating to drunk driving vary between countries and varying blood alcohol content is allowed before a conviction is made. Driving in India is the scariest thing for any man to do, I no as i have wrestled an aligator, come face to face with a great white, jumped out of planes but never in my life have i been so scared whn drining in India.

Driving under the influence is a serious health hazard. In the United States, for example, alcohol is estimated to play a role in 39 percent of vehicle-related deaths are caused for the cost of $51 billion annually. More recently it has been reported that alcohol contributes to nearly 30 percent of all Canadian traffic fatalities and 44 percent of traffic fatalities in the United States.

In most countries, anyone who is convicted of injuring or killing someone while under the influence of alcohol or drugs can be heavily fined, as in France, in addition to being given a lengthy prison sentence. Many states in the U.S. have adopted truth in sentencing laws that enforce strict guidelines on sentencing. For example, if a defendant is sentenced to ten years, he or she will be in prison for that entire time. This is different from past practice where prison time was reduced or suspended after sentencing had been issued.

Historically, guilt was established by observed driving symptoms, such as weaving; administering field sobriety tests, such as a walking a straight line heel-to-toe or standing on one leg for 30 seconds; and the arresting officer's subjective opinion of impairment. The US Department of Transportation explains the Field Sobriety Test as, "a battery of three tests administered and evaluated in a standardized manner to obtain validated indicators of impairment and establish probable cause for arrest."

6  Use the Wezor Free Advertising Forum to Post Ads Online / Advertising Forum / Car Care Tips to Keep Your Car in Tiptop Shape on: November 29, 2009, 05:22:40 AM
Your car is a major investment which means it deserves proper maintenance and care. Many accidents on the roadways are due to lack of preventive vehicle maintenance on the part of the owner. It is easy to perform many routine checks on your car, and you do not have to be a world class mechanic to handle them yourself.

When you take the time and effort to care for your car you will extend the life of the vehicle. There are some other bonuses that you receive including better gas mileage, longer tire life and fewer automotive exhaust problems. You should also note that routine checks alert you to small problems before they have time to become expensive headaches. Early detection and prompt repairs of automobile problems will generally keep any repair costs low.

Here are some top tips to remember that will help you give your car the best care:

Begin with the basics. Check your car owner’s manual and follow the recommendations concerning oil changes, tune-ups and other routine maintenance tasks.

Oil and oil filters should be changed as needed, or about every 3000 miles, for most cars. Some cars do allow more mileage between changes, so check your owner’s manual.

Check fluid levels for several different applications weekly. Check your oil, brake fluid, transmission and power steering fluid, overflow tank and radiator fluid every week. Check to see that you have enough windshield washing solution or water every week, too. Take a few minutes to top off any fluids that are low.

Tires should be checked at least once a month but it is best to check the inflation pressures once a week. If you are driving around with tires that are under-inflated you are losing valuable fuel efficiency.

Check tires for wear patterns, the amount of tread you have left, and any cracks; also make sure no nails or tacks have been picked up that could be causing you to have a slow leak. Make sure his well that hubcaps and lug nuts are securely fastened.

Perform regular tuneups for scheduled maintenance on your car. Problems with fuel injection or spark plugs can reduce gas mileage by as much as 35%. A lot of people do try to postpone tuneups, especially if the car appears to be running okay, but this is a mistake. Taking your car to a professional mechanic means that you can have your engine thoroughly inspected for any problems that may not be apparent yet.

Make sure your chassis is regularly lubricated as well. This means your car’s suspension is going to remain optimal. Usually, the shop that changes your oil will also perform chassis lubrication as part of the service.

Your battery’s an important part of your car and of course can’t run without it. Make sure you keep a watch on it, especially the posts and cables. If you notice corrosion building up, you can clean it off with a wire brush. Connections should be secure; failing to do these checks can mean you end up with a dead battery, which of course is something you don’t want.

Windshield wiper blades should be changed at least once a year and should be inspected monthly to see that they don’t have cracks or other problems. A protective coating like Rain-X applied to your windshield every two weeks will improve visibility during heavy rain.

Check your headlights, too, as well as tail lights and turn signals, once a week. Replace any burned-out bulbs, because this can cause you to have an accident or other problems.

If you will follow these tips concerning car maintenance you will soon notice that the checks become second nature. A little pro-active care for your car can keep your vehicle looking better, performing better, and you will also be able to keep it on the road longer.  fontana auto glasss
